Of course you could pick a new M240 off the lot at your local military sales dealer…but as I can personally attest to, you will have a car that is fast, fun to drive, but somewhat “meh” to look at. The reason you’re reading this right now is because the pictures caught your attention. And the pictures caught your attention because this M240 has been cosmetically enhanced with BMW’s own M Performance Parts. And now it looks (and sounds) awesome. What’s different about this car? Read on.
Both the front and rear spoilers have been replaced with more aggressive M Performance parts. The graphics package accentuates the hood bulge, and gives you the hockey stick stripes on the side. The side blades in front of the rear wheels add an aggressive “this car means business” look, especially from an angle. Genuine AC Schnitzer parts were installed in the interior: pedal set, shift paddles and iDrive controller cap. All this work was done by the BMW dealer here in Germany.
The car was lowered 1 inch on Eibach lowering springs, with H&R spacers to perfect the car’s overall stance. A stock M240 looks like it’s meant to go off-road compared to this one. Looks great and the ride is still composed and well damped.
The “plain jane” exhaust is upgraded to a beautiful 4-tip Eisenmann exhaust. The tips are huge and look amazing. And it sounds so much better than a stock M240. Sport mode is wicked, but legal :) I’ve set the car so that it starts in Sport mode…it definitely gets attention at startup.
I have over $8K invested in these upgrades...but am only asking $2K above private party value.
In these pictures, the car is wearing its original 19” rims on all-season tires. I have 20” M Performance wheels that elevate this car to hero status. They are available to the buyer to be included in the sale, of course at a price adjustment. See the last pic.
